Located on the banks of the Washademoak Lake near Loon Point in Cambridge-Narrows, NB, Loon Point Herefords was established in 1985. It was then when Jim and Sandra decided to move back to Sandra’s hometown of Cambridge-Narrows, with their two kids, Jamie and Jennifer, and start a farm of purebred Herefords. The Hereford breed was chosen because Sandra’s father already had a farm of the docile cattle since 1946.

The farm started with two females purchased at the South-eastern Hereford Club Sale. Twenty-five years later the farm has now grow to 10 to 15 calving females each year.

Now, Jim and Sandra’s son, Luke, also helps with the management of the farm. Breeding females are sold at the Down East Hereford Sale in Wilmot, NB as well as the Atlantic Bonus Sale in Nappan, NS. In the past few years the farm has also travelled to multiple shows and fairs including most recently the Royal Winter Agricultural Fair in Toronto.

Luke also shows cattle through 4-H. If you would like to know more information about our farm or would like to visit please call or email us. We would love to talk to you!
